SugarMag>Caution is impeccable, certainly one of the overlooked highlights of a great year off the bat.

One could certainly be forgiven for considering '72 their peak (or in my case, late '71 - no DJG).
But I'm sufficiently enamored of the few shows they played in '72 before Europe (especially at NY's Academy, my 'home venue') to wish we could get this complete show. Soundboard would be nice, but I've got plenty of those thanks to this site, and all that clapping during PITB doesn’t ruin it for me. It just brings back memories.

Wonderful recording? This sounds like someone put up a soup can on the facing wall in the bathroom a couple of buildings over from the show and miked it.

This show is another reason why one could be forgiven for considering 1972 as their peak. The Wharf Rat alone contains everything from a whisper to scream: sheer marverlous dynamics. The band as a whole was truly listening to each other other. Fantastic, brilliant performance: wonderful recording.
